Need Help Viewing Web Cams?

Internet Explorer 6.0 (or higher) required.
Viewing the ACY secure web cameras requires downloading and installing an ActiveX control by your browser. If your browser reports the error message "Windows has blocked this software because it can’t verify the publisher", you may need to change your browser's security settings. For more information see "

By default Internet Explorer disable running unsigned ActiveX controls. Unsigned ActiveX controls are programs that try to execute a command through your browser which do not have a digital signature.

While this is an important security measure on the Internet Explorer browser, if you are sure that the website is a trusted one then you can temporarily disable this security feature to get the website run the required ActiveX and later on re-enable the security.

To disable this feature,

1. Open internet explorer, click Tools - Internet Options.

2. Click the Security tab - Custom Level button.

3. Under ActiveX ensure the following are set to enabled

4. Run ActiveX and plug-ins - Enabled

5. Download Signed ActiveX Control - Enabled

6. Script ActiveX controls marked as safe for scripting - Enabled

7. Set the following to “Prompt” Download unsigned ActiveX Control - Prompt

8. Initialize and script ActiveX controls not mark as safe - Prompt

9. Click OK and Apply and OK. Restart the browser.

You should now be able to run the ActiveX control on the website. As I said earlier, please ensure that you have the above to what it was before.

After restarting your browser, you should be able to view the web cams if you have set your Internet Options to;
- Automatic Prompting for ActiveX controls -enabled
- Download Signed ActiveX Controls -prompt
- Download Unsigned ActiveX Controls -prompt
- Run ActiveX Controls & Plug-ins -enabled
- Run video on a web page -enabled

You can reset your Internet Options to Medium or High Level to return to its original security state.
From the MENU, select TOOLS / INTERNET OPTIONS / SECURITY / CUSTOM LEVEL the select from the drop-down box the level of security you require (Medium, High, Etc) or set another Custom Level.
